Featherstone is a year-round community arts center. It was founded in 1980 and is the only year round non-profit arts center on the Island. The grounds at Featherstone offer a photography lab, monoprinting, weaving, and pottery studios, classrooms, a library, computer lab, a Teen Art Café. The newly Art Barn features the Island's first purpose-built gallery space.
