Writing & Poetry: Tain Leonard-Peck & Ellie Bates

This week's Writing & Poetry Series features two poets, curated by Ron Slate, followed by Open Floor Readings for all writers to sign up on the night of the event.

Tain Leonard-Peck is the Poet Laureate for West Tisbury, a writer, monologist, and a reader/judge for Palette Poetry and Reedsy. Among his awards is #ENOUGH: Plays to End Gun Violence, which premiered at Lincoln Center and venues across the US; first place Poetry Fellowship to the MV Institute of Creative Writing; and Honorable Mention for the Creators of Literary Justice Award, by IHRAF, the largest human rights art festival in the world.

Ellie Bates is a visionary of the natural world. Whether it be the land, the sky, the dunes, the trees, Ellie looks at them all with a unique eye full of understanding and love…and they look back at her.

Gather in-person and on Zoom from 6:30 p.m. Readings from 7 p.m.
