Are you burning up with curiosity about prescribed burns and native wildflowers at Wasque, located on Chappaquiddick? Let The Trustees of Reservations be your guide to our globally rare habitats, traversing by foot around sandplain grasslands, barrier beaches, and pine barren forests. Gain a deeper understanding of the flora and fauna that call this special refuge their home.
Hike will be approximately 1.5 miles over moderate terrain; limited shade and soft sand. Binoculars and cameras encouraged. Please dress appropriately for extended sun exposure: hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottle, walking shoes. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants will be picked up at the Chappaquiddick side of the Chappy ferry at 8:30 a.m. and dropped off after the tour finishes. Look for the Trustees' white van!
