Protect wildlife, beautify your Island, celebrate Earth Day, and kick-off spring at this great family friendly event.
It's easy to go green this Earth Day: join your friends at VCS in the Earth Day Beach Clean-Up. Just head out to your favorite beach at 10 a.m. and volunteers will be there with everything you need. Afterward, join us from noon to 2 p.m. at the Oak Bluffs Sailing Camp for lunch and to share your finds with fellow beach cleaners. This year we are making sure there will be enough food for even the late-comers - no hardworking beach-cleaner should go without some refreshments. Please note this is a zero waste event. We plan to have dishes, mugs, etc., but please do bring your reusable water bottles with you.
This year's list of beaches tentatively includes:
Aquinnah: Lobsterville, Philbin, Tribal Beaches
