Thanks to a welcome collaboration with Vineyard Conservation Society, Island libraries, Island DWPs and MV Refuse District, there is now a community of Beach BeFrienders, dedicated to tending our beloved Island beaches. Every fourth Saturday, from 8 to 10 a.m., we meet to clean up a different Island beach! DQ ice cream coins are offered to participating children under 12!

On Saturday, Sept. 30, we will be cleaning up Lambert's Cove Beach in West Tisbury.
