Join Brooklyn Botanic Garden Arborist Chris Roddick on a walk and talk to discover how trees grow, adapt, communicate, and support other organisms from birds to fungi. We’ll look at why trees can’t heal themselves but can still stop infestations and decay. We’ll also talk about how trees can move water up hundreds of feet in non-living wood and terraform the soil around them, along with many other surprises, as we walk around the Arboretum.
