The Rasa String Quartet creates original programs that are influenced by a variety of cultures and that appeal to a wide audience. In Sanskrit, the term "rasa" refers to the power of an art form to inspire a profound emotional response in the reader, listener, or viewer.
The offerings in the program for this concert range from the music of Beethoven, to Native American Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate’s “Reveal,” to work by the mid-20th century composer William Grant Still, called the “Dean of Afro-American Composers.” Past Rasa musical collaborators have included Celtic harpist, Maeve Gilchrist, singer-songwriter Keith Murphy, and Hardanger fiddler, Dan Trueman.
For the first time, The MV Chamber Music Society is pleased to offer tickets for both in-person attendance and livestream viewing for this concert.
Tickets and more information are available at mvcms.org.
