A weekly discussion series conceived and moderated by Diana Barrett, Ph.D., and Jake H. Davis, Ph.D.
Join us as we take the conversation in a new direction. We will start with a meaningful topic and then turn inwards to explore the emotions that motivate speech and action. Sometimes we will take a break from talking altogether and really be quiet for a moment.
This week’s topic is extinction, exploring the place of fear, joy, and equanimity in facing the possibility that our species is rapidly coming to an end.
About our guests: Rory Kennedy, co-president and co-founder of Moxie Firecracker Films, has made more than 40 highly acclaimed documentaries, including Above and Beyond: NASA’S Journey to Tomorrow (2018), Take Every Wave: The Life of Laird Hamilton (2017), Last Days in Vietnam (2014), Ethel (2012), about her mother, Ethel Kennedy, and Ghosts of Abu Ghraib (2006).
