A weekly discussion series conceived and moderated by Diana Barrett, Ph.D., and Jake H. Davis, Ph.D.
Join us as we take the conversation in a new direction. We will start with a meaningful topic and then turn inwards to explore the emotions that motivate speech and action. Sometimes we will take a break from talking altogether and really be quiet for a moment.
This week’s topic is dying, exploring the place of fear, joy, and equanimity in facing our mortality.
About our guests: Donald M. Berwick, M.D., is president emeritus and senior fellow at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), and one of the nation’s leading authorities on the quality of healthcare. Paddy Moore is a former national healthcare policy mediator, and founder and chair of Healthy Aging Martha’s Vineyard, the Islandwide planning, community-building, and advocacy group for Vineyard seniors.
Pre-registration is required. Limited to a maximum of 40 participants. Coffee and tea will be provided.
