Writer, shipbuilder and sailor Harry Ricciardi, who recently returned to the Island from seven months at sea with no engine and no electronics, gives a talk on some of his adventuring predecessors, including Harry Pidgeon, Jack London, Joshua Slocum, and Alexandra David Neel.
If interested, attendees can familiarize themselves with the works Harry will be discussing ahead of time: Omoo, by Herman Melville, Around the World Single-Handed, by Harry Pidgeon, and My Journey to Lhasa, by Alexandra David Neel.
