Never this Forsaken Again:  Reflections from the Texas Power Outage - Reverend Erin J. Walter.

In February, along with much of their fellow Texans, Rev. Erin Walter and her family were without power, heat, and potable water in Austin for the better part of a week, as temperatures dropped to zero degrees. It was a cold — and a sense of collective forsakenness -- that even the many Texans who had lived in the North had never experienced. Rev. Erin will reflect on the emotions and lessons of the power outage, as well as the incredible mutual aid and spiritual support shared by Texans along the way.
