Join us in the Bodman Courtyard and listen to Phil daRosa, Maryse Smith, David Saw and Darby Patterson share their own music.
Phil daRosa is a singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and studio engineer/owner. He’s been recording and writing for over 20 years, and has shared the stage with many amazing artists, including G.Love, Carly Simon, Chad Stokes, Martin Sexton, Rhymefest, John Forte, Johnny Hoy, Ben Taylor, Ryan Montbleau and many more.
Maryse Smith is a songwriter from Burlington, VT. With precise melodies and a direct, minimalist style, her songs are sketches of human relationships. A haunting voice and abstract instrumentation create music both peaceful and melancholy to lead the listener inward.
After teaching himself guitar and listening to his uncle’s record collection growing up, David Saw joined a cover band at age 18 and toured England playing mostly Motown, cutting his teeth on Steve Cropper’s guitar style. After decades playing in bars, halls, poolrooms, theaters, and tour buses, he released a successful solo album, A Different Story, in 2003 and has gone onto participate in many collaborations.
Darby Patterson has been studying music and theater her whole life. Starting with weekly Music Together classes that her mom took her to when she was a toddler, Darby is a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music. She has been singing with Vine Shakers, an Island party and wedding band, led by Joanne Cassidy, for the past two years and also performs fairly often with Cottage City Collective.
Reservations required to attend the concert. Wear a mask and practice social distancing. If you wish to sit during the performance, please bring a chair/blanket.
