Sold Out: Rizing

A site-specific work of immersive storytelling and movement  by Abby Bender and Jesse Jason in partnership with the MVFF.

Breathe loudly and wake up. This is not your ordinary haunted house.

The performance invites small audiences into an unusual house with an even more unusual history, where they encounter things that go bump in the night. As the characters that inhabit this residence share their stories through text, dance and theater, guests are enveloped in shifting worlds of sorrow, humor, terror and treats.

• It is strongly suggested that audiences be at least 13 years of age.
• This is an intimate performance that requires attention and careful listening.
• Audience size is limited to eight people per show. Masks required.
• The approximately one-hour performance requires standing and brief periods of walking. There is periodic seating but audiences should be prepared to move every few minutes. Audiences must be able to navigate steep, narrow staircases.
