The Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School in collaboration with Options In Education (OIE) presents Banned Together, a full length feature, 90-minute documentary. It will be shown on Saturday, November 2 at 7 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center.

Admission is free of charge and audience seating at the PAC is self selective on a first come, first serve basis.

Banned Together follows the story of three teenage girls, one LGBTQ and one of color, who confront their South Carolina school board’s efforts to ban books in their high school library and emerge in the process as national heroines. A live Q&A will follow the screening.

Get a sneak preview before the official release, and be a part of thought-provoking conversations surrounding censorship and intellectual freedom. Don’t miss out on this incredible experience made possible by the documentary’s director/producer Jenn Wiggin at Atomic Focus Entertainment Inc in Charleston, S.C.

For information on the documentary, please contact Pete Steedman at psteedman@mvpcs.org.
