Exhibit: Perfect Waits: Allan Gerson’s Martha’s Vineyard Photography

Photographer Allan Gerson (1945–2019) explored the hidden structure and character of our natural and man-made environment. He compared his artistic method to meditation: becoming one with the subject he captured so that a doorway, for example, was no longer merely an object one takes for granted, but the entry point to a higher consciousness.
