As a gesture to honor medical professionals and grocery store workers on the front lines of the pandemic, Island police, fire and others will stage a parade from Edgartown to Vineyard Haven.
The parade will be led by cruisers and trucks from all six police, fire and EMS departments. State police from the Oak Bluffs barracks, Coast Guard Station Menemsha and the Dukes County Sheriff’s Department will also be a part of the motorcade.
The procession will begin at the Edgartown School. It will pass Stop & Shop in Edgartown and continue down Beach Road, arriving at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital at about 3 p.m. It will then continue on through Five Corners, ending at Cronig’s Market on State Road in Vineyard Haven.
