This class offers a way to approach painting a watercolor sketch, one that's completed in a couple of hours or less. Using the beautiful landscape at Featherstone and choosing a different location each week, we'll begin by taking a good long look at your chosen landscape, and deciding how to proceed from there. Learn how to get the most helpful info from your landscape ( What colors, shape or contrast should I aim for? How can I decide where to put it on the paper? How much detail do I need?) When we start painting, there are lots more questions: Where should I start? How do I mix colors? What if I make a mistake? When is my paining finished? We'll talk about layering colors, painting wet into wet or wet into dry and how much detail to add.

For all levels of experience, from absolute beginner to more advanced. Come to a single class or come to them all. See materials list for details on what you need to bring.

Please note - Materials not included. Watercolor classes will meet outside (unless inclement weather).  Please bring layers/sun hats/water!
