Each week, Slough Farm regular and fiber artist Prin Van Gulden (she/her) will guide participants through the creation of a different, distinctive bird endemic to Marthas Vineyard. Create a flock of native birds made from local American Tunis wool direct from Slough Farm. All participants should attend the first session on Tuesday, Feb. 2. In this initial lesson, Prin will discuss the history, craft and practice of needle felting and Josey Kirkland from Felix Neck will provide some context on our bird life. Participants are also invited to meet Josie in person at Felix Neck later in the month for a birding walk.
Feel free to sign up for one, two or all three felting sessions.
