Certain medications can contribute to unhealthy symptoms in older adults. The AARP article Are My Mother's Meds Making Her Fall? notes that some drugs, such as beta-blockers and pain relievers, can lead to insomnia, dizziness, vertigo, and falls.
Healthy Aging MV, in partnership with the Falls Prevention Coalition, is sponsoring a table at the MV Hospital's Health Fair, where local pharmacist Tamara Hersh of Conroy Apothecary will provide a free medication review.
How it works: Sign up for a 20 to 30 minute review between 10 a.m. and noon. We have space for 4 reviews, so sign up early. You'll be notified what time your appointment is; bring all of your medications, vitamins, and supplements with you. Caregivers and loved ones are welcome to attend with you.
