Living in Wôpanâak Territory

David Two Arrows and Saskia Vanderhoop are the founders of Sassafras Earth Education, an Indigenous nonprofit in Aquinnah, and have been mentoring youth and adults for 20 years. David is an Aquinnah Wampanoag elder born and raised traditionally on Noêpe. David and Saskia Vanderhoop will be addressing the following topics: Acknowledging Indigenous territories and peoples as a first step to reconciliation; A truthful representation of history with a focus on the Wôpanâak People of Nôepe; Strategies of repair and activism.

David and Saskia may be joined by other Wôpanâak guest speakers that lift up Indigenous voices.
