The Martha's Vineyard Rod & Gun Club Kids Trout Derby will return at first light on Saturday, April 8 for its 46th year. The club purchases hundreds of trout and stocks Duarte's Pond in West Tisbury.
The derby is free for kids 0-14 and includes hot dogs, donuts, coffee and hot chocolate, along with lots of prizes. No experience is necessary. Volunteers will be available to help neophytes. Coop says to dress warmly.
