Grand Opening: Beach Road Gallery

New gallery featuring the work of Steve Lohman, sculptor, and Frank and Vasha Brunelle, painters

This pond-side painters gallery with gardens overlooking Lagoon Pond is worth a look. Interesting work on display and included is a structure to reflect sunlight but allow it to go through to the paintings designed as one climate change possible solution. This is a new climate change and light modifier and albedo effect device. Also will be shown are paintings done directly on insulation panels designed to be hung inside or outside the home which add insulation value to the work as a symbolic reminder that we are in a new world. A heliostat is also present at the gallery which beams sunlight to any targeted area and provides about 1,000 watts of heat and light making this gallery a climate change friendly environment.

Vasha Brunelle is a naturalist artist that has been painting the wildlife and natural beauty of the Island for close to 40 years. She has shown throughout her career in galleries around Martha’s Vineyard. Many of her new pieces are focused on the inlets, beaches, coves and houses as well as the wild creatures that frolic there.

Frank Brunelle is creative spirit that finds inspiration for his work in science and his natural surroundings. An environmentalist, his art is as varied as his interests with paintings and sculpture that include portraits, landscapes and large-scale abstract pieces that can be installed inside or out. His work has been shown at galleries on and off the Island.

Steve Lohman is a popular Island artist based in West Tisbury. His playful wire and steel sculptures will be available in a range of sizes and can be displayed in interior and exterior settings.
