Thirty years in the making, his apocalyptic nightmare has finally come to life: a diving bell descends and a gas-masked figure called the Assassin emerges and sets off into an underworld of the macabre, the surreal, and the mad.

Not for the squeamish—“I wouldn’t take my kids to this,” Tippett himself has said—this hellscape of horrors is nevertheless completely worthy of awe, every detail lovingly and painstakingly handmade.
