Jennifer Christy is a contemporary artist and full-time resident of Martha’s Vineyard, primarily interested in modern, abstract representation of the contours, intersections and patterns of the natural island landscape. 

Susie White is an abstract landscape painter and scenic artist living full-time on Martha’s Vineyard. Susie’s painting “constructions” often start from a seed of organic inspiration: the way lichen grows on a stone wall, the intense color of marsh grass in early summer, or patterns found in ice. Using a technique she developed as a scenic artist, White then uses a variety of materials to paint on panels of primed Masonite, and finally arranges the components into a single, connected idea. 

Jennifer Brown creates textile art that is a celebration of her love of texture and color and an homage to the natural world. Jennifer grew up on Martha’s Vineyard, and has returned as a year-round islander. The island landscape inspires the compositions of her pieces—each is a meditation on the meeting of land and sea and a reflection of the gentle curves of the shorelines and the paths that carve their way through the woodlands and meadows that make up this special and beautiful place.
