Students in the Advanced Placement course at MVRHS have begun explorations and inquiries that are guiding their art making. Each student has chosen their inquiry through processes of creating, investigating, discussions, experimentation and writing. Many students are exploring the synthesis of how their materials choices and process support their ideas. This complex thinking leads to deep meaning in each students' work and a contemporary approach to how art communicates a message. Each artist will continue building their portfolios culminating in submitting a variety of works to gain AP credit, and more importantly a body of work that they are proud of.
Works on display were created by GG DeBlase, Kamar Dehaney, Sam Folts, Annalee Hoy, Lux Kisselgof and Nikeya Tankard.
