Free EventLed by Aquinnah Wampanoag educator, Brad Lopes, this workshop presented by the Aquinnah Cultural Center equips educators with essential strategies for working with Indigenous content and building meaningful relationships with Native students and communities. Gain practical insights into how Indigenous knowledge and practices can be integrated into your classroom to support Native students effectively. This workshop will be offered twice this Fall.
About our Instructor: A citizen of the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah), Brad Lopes has experience teaching social studies in Wabanaki homelands, working in museum program and exhibit development, and in leading multi-disciplinary approaches to Indigenous studies, history, historiography, geography, and civics.
Registration is required. This workshop is being offered FREE of charge for Island educators. We suggest a $75 donation for non-island educators.
