Edgartown School March to the Sea

Edgartown School students will honor Memorial Day through the annual March to the Sea.

Students will leave school at 1 p.m. and make their way to Main street, stopping at the court house to lay flowers at the Korean War memorial before proceeding down Main street to Memorial Wharf. Dr. Shelley Einbeinder will welcome everyone and the Pledge of Allegiance will be recited. The Eagle band will play; seventh graders will sing Oh Captain My Captain followed by remarks from a guest speaker, the Gettysburg Address will be delivered by eighth graders and the annual ceremony of the seventh graders tossing flowers into the sea while Taps is played.
