Virtual: Della Hardman Day

Della Hardman Day, an Oak Bluffs tradition established in 2005-06 by her former students and the Town of Oak Bluffs, will be virtual this year featuring author Ibram X. Kendi, Boston University professor and founding director of BU’s Center for Antiracist Research, who was named to Time magazine’s 2020 list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Dr. Kendi and global journalist Charlayne Hunter-Gault, a seasonal Vineyard resident, will provide a lively, insightful dialogue about race and racism today. Susan Klein, Vineyard storyteller, will share memories of Della, her former neighbor.
