Run with us in our eleventh year!  Join us under the beam of the beloved Gay Head Lighthouse to Run for the Light, on Sunday, October 6. 

This USATF-certified 10K (6.2 miles) road race is held each year to support the restoration of the iconic and historic Gay Head Lighthouse. Run from under the famed lighthouse’s beam, down State Road through lovely, rolling hills, to Moshup Trail, along the scenic, dune-filled coast, and back to the lighthouse.

Water stations are located every two miles along the course. Runners may check bags at the race tent located in the Gay Head circle, near the lighthouse.

Skates, scooters, skateboards, regular strollers and animals are prohibited on the course. Jogging strollers are allowed, but double jogging strollers are prohibited. If you choose to run with a single jogging stroller, please start at the rear of the pack. The course will close at 12:00 pm, and traffic will again be allowed on the roads. Timing will also close at 12 p.m.
