For over forty years, Bread for the World has mobilized action that has led to a remarkable array of achievements on behalf of the hungry and poor, including 1975’s Right to Food Resolution in the U.S. Congress; the 2000’s effort to bring international debt relief; efforts in 2012-2014 to reduce the size of cuts in programs to low-income families; 2014 efforts to increase funding for the SNAP and Head Start programs; and the bipartisan Global Food Security Act in 2016. The hard work of advocacy continues.
Guest speaker, Betty Anne Donnelly, will offer her own dynamic perspectives on the work of Bread.
