League of Women Voters of MV: Black History Month Breakfast and Program

The presenter will be newscaster and documentarian, Clennon King. He will show a preliminary cut of his documentary film “Passage at St. Augustine.” This film depicts the extraordinary events that took place in the spring of 1964 in St. Augustine, FL which propelled the passage of the Civil Rights Act. From both sides of the conflict, the film features first-hand accounts of these events, which laid the groundwork for Selma. Discussion will follow.
