Interested in bird watching but not sure where to begin? The Martha’s Vineyard Bird Club invites you to attend Birding 101. This free event is offered quarterly and will be led by Shea Fee and Rich Couse.
Join us from 8 to 10 a.m. on Oct. 15 at the Farm Institute in Edgartown. Spend two hours honing your birding skills in the fields and heathlands of Katama. Meet in the parking lot and please be prepared to walk up to 1 mile. Please dress for the weather. We'll have binoculars to loan if you do not own a pair, or if you want to bring a friend who is interested in birding. This public program is free and open to anyone who wants to get started birdwatching, or those who are building their skills. Visit the club calendar to find the registration link.
The Martha’s Vineyard Bird Club was founded in 2021. We believe birding is for everyone, and we welcome anyone, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, or birding experience. We watch and learn about birds primarily on the island of Noepe, Wampanoag lands known today as the island of Martha’s Vineyard.
This event is free but registration is required: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdgxfsah0rmwoZoDwztdxyWL0pWJYVC5FpQl5G3-TCKnTXODA/viewform
