Best of the Fest: Waiting to Continue: The Venezuelan Asylum Seekers on Martha's Vineyard

Circuit Arts presents "best of" encore screenings of films shown in the most recent Martha's Vineyard Film Festival.

Waiting to Continue covers last year’s national headline-generating emergency on the Vineyard. Given false promises of work and housing, 48 Venezuelan migrants were flown from San Antonio, Texas, to Martha’s Vineyard in September. This short film documents their three-day experience on the Island.

Produced by Circuit Films and featuring interviews with the Venezuelans and Vineyard residents who supported them, it is a captivating local retelling of the manufactured crisis. The screening will be followed by a discussion with directors Ollie Becker and Tim Persinko, and film subjects.
