Barnyard Buddies: Thankful for Farmers & Apple Cider Making

We’ll start by collecting eggs and visiting our animal friends in the Katama Barn followed by a reading of Before We Eat, From Farm to Table, a children’s book highlighting and thanking the different farmers, growers, fisherman, and others who help get food to the table. Young farmers will all get a chance to help press gleaned Island apples into apple cider to top off the morning.

Pre-registration required. Best suited for ages 2 to 5. Parents or caregivers with an addition child who is an infant and can be placed in a carrier are free and do not require pre-registration. Activities change weekly. This is a weather dependent program and will not run in inclement weather. You will be notified by 8 a.m. day of by e-mail if this program will not run.
