An Introduction to the Life, Natural World & Poetry of Mary Oliver

The late Mary Oliver remains one of our country’s most loved and quoted poets. Using accessible and precise language, her poetry considers the connection between nature and the spiritual world.

In this introduction to the poet, presenter Andrea Brandeis explores Ms. Oliver’s biography, her deep relationship with the natural world, and how that connection is expressed in her poetry. We will read and discuss some of the Ms. Oliver’s greatest work from her book, Devotions.
