All About Fish

Fish is a healthy choice…but is it? We have so many options when it comes to fish.

Fishing practices worldwide are damaging our oceans—depleting fish populations, destroying habitats and polluting the water. Informed consumers can help turn the tide. 

Come learn about farming practices: What is sustainable and what farmed fish is best to eat? Let’s talk a little bit about plastics in our oceans and what that means when it comes to eating fish!

We will:

  • Discuss types of fish, fishing and farming practices
  • Learn how to prepare fish and make three delicious sauces
  • Learn how to grill, sear, and bake
  • Make a fish stock and enjoy sashimi

Come and learn all about fish and shellfish  – and of course, we will finish the class with a meal of fish and a few easy side dishes.
