A Contemporary Watercolor Practice; taught by Marion Wilson

Join us on Sunday, May 28, at 100 Lagoon Pond for a watercolor workshop with artist and educator Marion Wilson from 3 to 5 p.m. Immerse yourself in the world of watercolors and unleash your creativity in a serene and inspiring environment. Watercolor supplies will be provided. You can also bring brushes, paints and paper that you may have that you are comfortable with. No previous experience is necessary.

Each class will include demonstrations, a group discussion of your work, a PowerPoint of other contemporary artists, and extended time to experiment and work.

Bio: Marion Wilson has 32 years of teaching experience and began teaching Liquid Drawing (a course she created) at Sarah Lawrence in 2020.  She trained as an oil painter at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, Columbia University, and University of Cincinnati. She also has extensive work and teaching in public social practice and was a professor at Syracuse University, introducing an art and architecture curriculum called New Directions in Social Practice.  Marion lives and works in Brooklyn, N.Y. and has a floating studio in Vineyard Haven.
