Tom Dunlop and John Wilson, founders of the Historic Movies of Martha’s Vineyard project, a pioneering and award-winning effort of the Vineyard Gazette, present clips of film shot on the Vineyard, some dating back almost one hundred years.
The two provide a lively narrative and historical context to the clips, which include scenes of hurricanes in the 1950s, shots of Island steamers and ferries from the 1940s, offshore swordfishing expeditions in the 1930s, and Vineyard beaches dating back to the late 1920s.
